Our tour begins in Temù (BS) in Upper Valcamonica that is best reached by car or other vehicle.
Here we find the Museum of the White War (as the First World War in the Alps/Dolomites was known). The museum has recently been renovated and expanded and allows one to immerse oneself in the events of the Great War and to understand the experiences of the combatants at high altitude in the Adamello area through the things that they used and marvellous period photographs.
The visit to the museum will take up the whole morning and we will follow it with a walk around the town of Temù and lunch (brought from home or purchased locally).
In the afternoon we will move to the place known as Davenino in the nearby town of Vezza d’Oglio where we will visit the well-preserved trench complex which formed part of the supporting defences of the Tonale front line to the east.
Here the tour will end and group members will be free return home or further explore Valcamonica in their own vehicles.
